An 11-day all-inclusive private tour through the castles of Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic — exploring the legacies of imperial emperors from Munich through Nuremberg and Prague to Vienna, Cesky Krumlov, Salzburg, and Innsbruck.
This tour explores the legacies of the centuries when European imperial emperors and countries competed to build the largest, most ornate, and most expensive castles and palaces. From Munich to Prague, Vienna to Salzburg, every day reveals another chapter of this extraordinary rivalry.
The journey begins with a welcome dinner at the Hofbrauhaus — the world's most famous beer hall — before heading north to Nuremberg's Imperial City with its Burg fortress and famous Hauptmarkt. Then onward to Prague, the immortal capital of the Czech Republic, also called the Golden City. Prague Castle, one of the largest castles in the world, existed since the 9th century and was rebuilt in 14th-century Gothic under Charles IV. An evening stroll takes in Jewish Prague, the Old Town Square, and the famous Astronomical Clock.
Vienna delivers Habsburg splendor: the Ring Road's imperial landmarks, St. Stephen's Cathedral, and Schonbrunn Palace — Austria's answer to Versailles — with pre-arranged access that bypasses the lines and apple strudel preparation in the Imperial Kitchen. The Czech chapter continues with the stunning Hluboka Chateau built in Windsor Neo-Gothic style and Cesky Krumlov, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the world, ranked number two after Venice.
Salzburg brings Mirabell Gardens, Mozart's Birthplace, and Fortress Hohensalzburg. Innsbruck's Golden Roof beneath the Austrian Alps leads to a Tyrolean dinner with traditional yodeling, alphorn, and Schuhplattler dancing. The tour closes with Linderhof Palace deep in the forest and Munich's Residenz — the winter palace of the Wittelsbach family that ruled Bavaria for 800 years.
Highlights
Your Journey
When Europe's empires competed for dominance, they built their power in stone. This journey traces the imperial legacy across Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria — from Munich's beer halls to Prague's thousand-year-old castle, from Vienna's Schönbrunn to the medieval perfection of Český Krumlov. Eleven days, three countries, and a story of monarchs, composers, and architects who shaped a continent.
Day 2
Nuremberg's imperial fortress surveys the city where Holy Roman Emperors once held court. The Hauptmarkt buzzes below. Then the road leads to Prague — the Golden City — where an evening stroll through the Jewish Quarter and the Old Town Square, with its Astronomical Clock keeping medieval time, sets the mood for tomorrow.

Day 3
Prague Castle has loomed over the Vltava since the ninth century — rebuilt in Gothic grandeur under Charles IV, it remains one of the largest castles on Earth. The afternoon belongs to you: Wenceslas Square, the river, the cafés, or the opera houses that make this city sing.

Vienna unfolds along its Ring Road — the Opera, the Hofburg, Town Hall, Parliament, each building a monument to a different era of imperial ambition. St. Stephen's Cathedral soars above the city center. Evening brings a Heurigen dinner in one of the wine villages that ring the capital.

Day 5
Schönbrunn is Austria's Versailles — pre-arranged access means you see it properly, without the crush. The apple strudel lesson in the Imperial Kitchen is unexpectedly delightful. Afternoon options include the Giant Ferris Wheel, the Hofburg's treasuries, or the city's legendary Kaffeehäuser.

Day 6
Hluboká Chateau appears like a vision of Windsor transplanted to Bohemia — Neo-Gothic perfection with galleries of South Bohemian art. Then Český Krumlov, a UNESCO-listed town ranked second after Venice for its preservation, wraps its medieval streets around the Vltava River. Its castle is the second largest in the Czech Republic.

Day 7
Salzburg is Mozart's city, but it's also a fortress city — Hohensalzburg dominates from its hilltop, reached by funicular. Below, Mirabell Gardens and the Getreidegasse carry the elegance of an era when archbishops ruled with imperial tastes. Dinner at one of Austria's oldest restaurants closes the day.

Day 8
Innsbruck sits in the crux of the Alps — the Golden Roof glints below snowcapped peaks, the baroque Hofkirche guards its royal tombs. A Tyrolean dinner with traditional music and dancing — yodeling, alphorn, Schuhplattler — brings the mountain culture alive in a way no museum can.

Day 9
Linderhof hides in its Alpine valley — Ludwig II's most intimate castle, every room a reflection of his private world. The grotto alone is theater. The day ends at the Munich Residenz, where eight centuries of Wittelsbach power fill room after room after room.
